Ajang penghargaan insan musik MTV Video Music Awards akhirnya kembali digelar pada Kamis (6/9) di Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat. Acara tahunan MTV VMA 2012 memiliki 16 kategori nominasi. Rihanna dan Drake masuk dalam banyak nominasi, tapi ternyata tidak semua dimenangkan oleh mereka.

One Direction menjadi pemboyong penghargaan terbanyak. Mereka berhasil menjadi yang terbaik untuk kategori Best New Artist, Best Pop Video dan Most Share-Worthy Video.
